Responsibilities
The successful Resource(s) will undertake the subsequent tasks and responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to work on multiple applications;
  • Review topologies to understand the application traffic flows;
  • Creation of a CSV which is input into VRA automation to group and tag applications in NSX-T;
  • Analysis of traffic flows assigned applications;
  • Participation in peer reviews;
  • Develop security policies based on flow analysis and tags/groups created;
  • Review feedback from application owner who conducts testing;
  • Collaborate with project team to implement the approved change;
  • Provide warranty support and remediate any issues found the following 7-10 days.;
  • Attend stand up meetings & bi-weekly planning sessions;
  • Collaborate with PM, OCM and BA (support the collection of information from the business); and
  • Work with other technical SMEs to submit and execute change orders
Qualifications
Mandatory Resource Qualifications/Requirements
The individual must have the following Qualifications/Requirements

Must have one or more of the following Cisco Certifications:
o CCNA/CCNP (routing, switching & security);
o VCP;
o VCP-NV (Network Virtualization);
o VCAP Deploy;
o VCAP Design; or
o CompTIA Security+

  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of working experience with NSX-T distributed firewall.
  • Resources must have worked with NSX-T distributed firewall within the last two (2) years.
The ideal Resource will have the following qualifications and have experience fulfilling the following job
requirements.

  • Ideally 2+ years experience with next generation firewalls
  • Ideally 2+ years experience vCenter environment
  • Ideally 2+ years experience with Wireshark or similar packet capture utility
  • Ideally 2+ years experience with Network log analysis
  • Ideally 2+ years experience with problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with security zones and multi-tier applications
