Job Summary:

Tactical Hospital Operations


The Transformation Consultant will report directly into the Senior Director, Clinical Transformation and work directly with the Executive or President to work collaborative with in order to deliver a number of clinical transformation initiatives within their assigned portfolio.


The Transformation Consultant is central to the successful implementation of LHSC's new Strategic Plan, and will lead a portfolio of projects across clinical operations that will fulfill our vision to transform health, together.

The Transformation Consultant is responsible for the design, testing and evaluation of transformative initiatives, in partnership with other stakeholders across the organization.

A key expectation is that the Transformation Consultant will work with and across other corporate offices and business areas to accomplish their work, as well as engage broadly across stakeholders to ensure that solutions are user centered and easily adopted.

The Transformation Consultant will be responsible for tracking progress, reporting any risks or barriers encountered, and aligning their methods and tactics to ensure we are modelling and building capacity across our internal teams.


Transformation Consultants will lend their expertise to other Transformation Consultants to bring about the successful design and execution of other transformative initiatives across the clinical enterprise.

Further, the Transformation Consultant partners with Operational leaders (clinical and administrative), frontline staff, external stakeholders (including community organizations, other hospital staff, and/or patients and caregivers) to design, implement, evaluate and iterate throughout life cycles of the initiatives.

Qualifications:

As the ideal canddiate, you have:

  • Successful completion of a Master's Dagree in Health Administration, Health Planning, Public Health, Engineering or as acceptable to Hospital
    or recognized equivalent as acceptable to the Hospital
  • Current Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) preferred, or are in process of attaining the Canadian Health Executive (CHE) Certification preferred
  • Five (5) years experiance in a healthcare environment with experience managing complex, large scale projects or leading change initiatives. Experience in patient care redesign with some leadership experience, preferred
  • Strong understanding of the hospital's strategic plan and priorities
  • Indepth health system knowledge and strong sense of change management
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, collaboration and negotiation with multiple stakeholders/service providers
  • Ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to collect and analyze population and organizational data, both qualitative and quantitative, to serve and inform planning and evaluation
  • Critical thinking skills to assess different elements of the proposed approaches, considering the outcomes for patients, providers, the system and LHSC
- _Experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, including financial data, program performance data, patient reported outcome measures and population health data_

  • Demonstrates highcaliber judgement, decisionmaking and triaging ability to support executives
