THE ROLE - ACCOUNTING LEAD

  • Assist with the implementation of a new ERP and continue to strive for process improvement
  • Completion of bank reconciliations
  • Completion of bimonthly payroll
  • Monthend close and reporting
  • Variance reporting for actuals to budget and forecast
  • Compile and submit monthly GST returns
  • Capital reporting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicators
  • Continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure proper internal controls over financial reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years' experience in a related accounting position
  • 1+ years' experience processing payroll
  • Knowledge and experience with fullcycle bookkeeping
  • Strong technical efficiency in Sage 50, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

EDUCATION

  • Postsecondary education in business, finance, or a related field
