Position Description:

  • The Professional Practice Coordinator, Supply Chain and Clinical Equipment partners with the professional practice, clinical informatics, and supply chain teams to minimize service disruptions and proactively manage impacts on patients, families, and staff related to clinical supplies, disposables, and low fidelity and technologydependent equipment.
  • This dynamic role works as a member of the Collaborative for Professional Practice team and reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Practice, with crossfunctional reporting to supply chain leadership.

  • Given the dynamic nature of practice across the organization, the Collaborative provides crucial leadership to maintain and develop networks across collaborator groups. The Collaborative facilitates information exchange and enables partnerships to advance interprofessional paediatric and nursing practice locally, provincially, and nationally.
    Here's What You'll Get To Do
  • Act as the point of contact and liaison between teams to navigate disposable supply and medical equipment issues that directly impact patient care
  • Lead or participate in various equipment evaluation processes in collaboration with the sourcing team
  • Colead the Product Standardization Committee
  • Lead or participate in organizational initiatives and projects related to supporting and sustaining practice changes focused on the delivery of safe, reliable, and effective care in the context of a dynamic medical supply chain and information systemenabled patient care technology
  • Coordinate practice structures and processes, such as the communication of alerts and practice changes as they relate to changes in supplies and medical equipment
  • Monitor medical supply and clinical equipment safety reports

Here's What You'll Need

Essential

  • Minimum of four years working in the healthcare sector with at least three years of acute care clinical experience
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related health discipline
  • Registration with regulated health professions college
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities¿
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerBI, Forms, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to complete literature reviews, analysis, and synthesize information for presentation to key audiences
  • Solid problemsolving and decisionmaking skills, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to establish relationships successfully
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative, selfdirected, innovative, adaptive, results

  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives.
