Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Take and prepare drink orders accurately and efficiently
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage customers
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and restocking supplies
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments using a POS system
  • Engage with customers, answer questions, and make recommendations on drink selections
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Experience:
Two years

  • Previous experience in bartending or a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and drink preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for calculating bills and making change
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of customers
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Skills:

  • Hospitality: Provide friendly and attentive service to ensure an enjoyable experience for guests
  • Basic math: Perform calculations for drink orders, bills, and cash handling accurately
  • Customer service: Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, addressing their needs and concerns
  • Bartending: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
  • Cash handling: Process payments accurately using a POS system, handle cash transactions, and provide change as needed
  • Food safety: Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety and quality of drinks served
  • Restaurant: Understand the operations of a restaurant/bar setting and work collaboratively with other staff members
