MAIN FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for collaborating with Control Room Technician (CRT) and Operations Technicians to ensure comprehension of job safety requirements, work objectives, and safety protocols.
- Supports CRT/Ops Supervisor in overseeing area activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Works in a team setting to manage plant units and sulfur recovery operations safely and efficiently.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Contractor personnel to establish and maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in Operations Emergency Response activities within the Area.
- Coordinate with Systems Completion team during start-up and commissioning of facilities.
- Review work packages for planned maintenance activities, ensuring safety measures are in place.
- Endorse Work Permits as Area Operator (AO) and Isolating Authority (IA) when required.
- Encourage teamwork between Maintenance and Operations groups.
- Prioritize work effectively and enhance collaboration between work groups.
- Maintain open communication with CRT and address operational issues promptly.
- Ensure inter-area communication for timely issue resolution.
- Uphold good housekeeping practices in the designated Area.
- Keep a daily log and shift changeover notes.
- Safely perform physical tasks such as moving chemicals and minor equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to quality control standards and make necessary process adjustments.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industry experience in operations or related field.
- Proficiency in production operations and processes.
- Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and UFDs.
- Ability to interpret shutdown logic diagrams.
- Strong Safety, Health, and Environment knowledge.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal and motivation abilities.
- Capacity to work in a diverse cultural environment.
- Advanced understanding of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
- Knowledge of safety management tools and processes (PTW, Step back 5x5, JSA, Risk Assessment).
- Understanding of CIMS, safety management tools, and Production Operations Best Practices (POBP).
