What is_ Launch Pad_
?
It's an immersive talent incubation paid program where you will learn more about the exciting world of media advertising and jump start your career at GroupM Canada - the world's largest media company


Combining industry concepts and a hands-on practical approach, this 12-week program has been designed to be the foundation that prepares bright individuals for a career in media.


This training program is designed to tackle the barriers to entry into the media industry in Canada, previous cohorts Included people from diverse communities such as Newcomers to Canada, the Black and Indigenous Communities, people returning to work after an extended break, etc.

This is not an internship.

You will be joining GroupM as a full time employee and move into a role in one of our agencies once the 12 week training is completed.


What will you learn?
-
Media Planning which is responsible for determining the best combination of media to achieve marketing campaign objectives.
-
Media Buying (Investment) which is responsible for buying advertising air-time on TV, Radio, Newspaper, Billboard, etc.
-
Digital Business which is responsible for placing advertisements through digital channels like Google, Facebook, etc.

  • Open to applicants with an interest in: Advertising, Digital Communications, Marketing, Business and/or Communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in oral and written communications
  • Demonstrate a strong interest to build an exciting career in media
  • Appreciation for numbers, statistics and data
  • Adaptable to constant changes, as the media business is everevolving

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:


Launch Pad participants will be paid a starting salary equivalent to $40,000/year throughout the program and will gain useful knowledge and experience to launch their career in media.
