The Vice President of Finance , who reports to the CFO, will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction of the company.

This individual will oversee all financial operations and lead our shared services finance team to ensure the company's financial health, growth, and compliance.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in our Mississauga, ON location.

Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the shared services finance team
Lead/support integration of any acquisitions into the business.
Lead or have significant involvement in system/processes implementations and subsequent system upgrades. Monitor accounting and reporting processes and operations and make recommendations on opportunities for improvement. Implement recommendations that have management approval to proceed.
Analyze financial results and prepare reports for management, the executive leadership team and the board.
Lead monthly, quarterly and year end close including review of account reconciliations and profit and loss analysis.
Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, regulations, internal financial controls and tax reporting.
Complete the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit working papers.
Coordinate external auditors, respond to audit requests, approve all adjustments and reconcile the audit numbers.
Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and the department adheres to and/or exceeds approved budgets.

CPA designation is required, candidates that qualified at a major public accounting firm preferred.

~ Display a willingness to take on a broad range of duties and projects and comfortable with a flexible, hands on approach.
~ Highly motivated with strong analytical, planning, problem-solving and time management skills.
~ Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
