Host/Host

Duties:

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel
  • Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
  • Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
  • Take reservations and manage the waitlist
  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
  • Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with seating arrangements for large parties or special events

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of POS systems for order entry and guest services
**SMART SERVE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

**Restaurant experience preferred.
