As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, priorities, and constraints, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Drive the architectural design and implementation of software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance while adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- Define and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and quality assurance processes to maintain code quality, readability, and maintainability across the team.
- Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor team members to promote knowledge sharing, skill development, and career growth.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development and architecture, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
- Collaborate with other development teams, architects, and technical leaders to identify opportunities for code reuse, componentization, and standardization across projects.
- Monitor project progress, track and report on key performance metrics, and proactively identify and address any technical issues or risks that may impact project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, leading development teams and driving technical excellence.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Typescript, or JavaScript, and familiarity with modern frameworks and technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is a must.
- Practical experience in writing unit and integration tests, in TDD and BDD.
- Practical experience in service-oriented architecture (API and SDK).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform, and experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Gifted thinker, extremely resourceful, detail-oriented and proactive.
- Team player who always places the interest of the team first.
- Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated).
- Bilingual (English and French).
