Job Overview


The Junior End User Computing/Infrastructure is responsible for the day to day technical support to all computer users and technical platforms across FirstOntario which includes product evaluation, install, configuration of software and hardware, maintenance, research and troubleshooting problems and resolutions.


Role

  • Support desktop and support server environments including technologies such as Exchange, Mobile Device Technology, VMware, Active Directory, SharePoint, file shares, and windows networking and management services
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ATM's, ITM's, CRU's and any new technology as assigned
  • Be an engaged Tier 2 level support for all approved hardware and software, responding, solving trouble tickets documenting in ServiceNow and participate in an oncall rotation
  • Support the management of server, desktop and Network access, end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and file share allocations in accordance with FirstOntario policies
  • Enjoy staying ahead of current industry trends, new techonologies and services that impact member and employee experience
  • Collaborately participate in maintaining service level agreements with vendors and coordinate with Support Desk on monthly publication of SLAs
  • Diligently maintain and monitor backups and restores
  • Accurately coordinate and perform indepth tests, including enduser reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Support end user orientation and training for all modified and new systems as well as providing aid to all IT business units when requested
  • Meticulously ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, during data transfers in accordance to business needs, industry bestpractices, and FCU Policy regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Support IT asset management and work in partnership with other IT Departments as needed
  • Consider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the safety of self and others
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Within your skills and qualifications, you will..._
  • Be pursuing a post secondary Degree or Diploma in the field of computer science or information systems or equivalent in a related program
  • Have exposure to technical support, development and deployment of software and hardward solutions, systems or products
  • Enjoy a challenge when it comes to technical issues and be resourceful in the way you find a solution
  • Have knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows Server and VMware ESXi
  • Have knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards
  • Be quick to respond to requests for service from all of your clients in a manner which is clearly understood, both technically and userfriendly
  • Be analytical and overly detailed when dealing with technical support issues and IT projects
  • Inherently demonstrate a high level of integrity and be trustworthy
  • Be aware of and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and procedures
