Our Quality Assurance representative (QAR) will play an active role in assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with improving the overall quality and efficiency of our suite turnover and project processes and will be an integral player in ensuring that our suites are free of deficiencies when new residents move into their homes.

They will divide their time between completing unit inspections (both vacant and occupied) and working on administrative tasks, maintaining an inventory of items, and assisting with other projects as required by the Quality Assurance Manager.

This is a full-time, temporary position with anticipated scheduling from May 1st, 2023 to October 31st, 202- Assisting with Pre-Vacancy inspections (PVI), deficiency inspections, and final unit inspections on all projects, but with a predominant focus on the turns process to ensure that all inspection related items are completed to maximum quality & value

  • Ensuring that all deficiencies are properly communicated to the QAM
  • Working closely with project teams and the QAM on identifying common trend in deficiencies to help direct contractor discussions to ensure less issues in the future
  • Helping with preparing documents and inspection reports for the QAM for inspection of turned units
  • Helping with the scheduling of inspection both for themselves and the QAM.
  • Practicing effective time management and ensuring that inspections and reports are completed and shared quickly to ensure that project can proceed on time
  • Compiling reports and analysing data to determine the success of both the unit turn and the Quality Assurance process

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Previous experience doing hotel housekeeping, construction site, or residential unit inspections is an Asset
  • While not required, any relevant postsecondary education would be considered an asset
  • A secondary school diploma or equivalent is a requirement
  • Experience with "Smartsheet" software would be considered an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English. Other language skills are an asset.
  • As a condition of employment, must be willing to provide and maintain a clear and valid criminal background check
  • Experience with project management software would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of daily tasks is a requirement for this role
  • Demonstrated customer service skills & experience is a requirement for this role

  • Strong timemanagement skills and ability to organize tasks and set priorities are a requirement for this role

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Extended periods at a computer may be required at times.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
  • Competing demands may create stress.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of supplies or equipment may be required.
  • You will be required to interact with customers in their homes during inspections
  • The QAM will be spending time travelling through the community frequently and may be on their feet for extended periods of time
