Reporting to the Director of Privacy & Records Management, this role primarily provides support in all privacy related initiatives.

This role actively supports and promotes compliance with PRA policies and processes related to data privacy and records management principles and best practices across the organization.


More specifically, your duties will include:

Review and update privacy related policies and procedures, as well as records management and retentionMonitor and research privacy legislation in CanadaProvide support in privacy activities related to data collection and protection, such as privacy impact assessmentsProvide support in responding to privacy incidents and breachesManage all privacy activities such as PIA-DPIA in Data Privacy softwareProvide support in the maintenance of the records retention scheduleWhat you will bring:If you pay attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills, we'd like to meet youOther qualifications include:Post-secondary education in Information Studies, Information Security, Business Administration, Law, or a related field of study3 years' experience in a similar roleExtensive knowledge of privacy legislation and regulations in CanadaFamiliar with privacy softwareA high level of digital literacy, including proficiency with SharePoint and MS Office SuiteStrong organization skills with attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrivacy Certification (CIPP/C, or similar) is considered an assetBilingual in English and French is preferredBackground in legal (i.e.
