Advisor to President, Project Delivery

What You Will Do:

  • Identify, anticipate and direct issues, informing the President of items which require attention, and provide options and assistance to resolve issues.
  • Help manage high priority issues within the Project Delivery Division.
  • Participate in key meetings pertaining to partnership plans and strategic planning.
  • Work with the Project Delivery Operations team to assist in ongoing assessment and reassessment of strategic and operational priorities for the division.
  • Work with the appropriate stakeholders and resources to take the lead in the determining and creating communications on behalf of President, Project Delivery regarding strategic updates and program updates to company.
  • Monitor required government approvals and ensure that the President is fully briefed and engaged.
  • Work with the Executive Assistant and Senior Administrative Assistant(s) to ensure the creation of and prepare agendas and materials.
  • Work with the Project Delivery Operations team to support the development of the divisional knowledge management strategy.
  • Prepare materials and analysis to support interactions with external stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepare the President for speaking engagements.

What We're Looking For:

years experience supporting senior leadership.

  • Postsecondary education, preferably in business administration, commerce or a relevant discipline.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) designation would be an asset.
  • Understanding of Broader Public sector (Agency) policies, programs and the legislative and government decisionmaking processes.
  • Experience in a government advisory capacity, briefing and making recommendations to senior executives and staff preferred.
  • Experience dealing directly with external stakeholders and 3rd parties, and aligning goals and supporting direction of priorities
  • Experience in anticipating and managing short and long term objectives, synthesizing meeting notes and minutes into action items, and providing support to assign associated tasks to working groups.
  • Experience in managing sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy and sound judgment.
