As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.

The Accounting Manager will also produce financial reports for our shareholders and senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing financial planning, budgeting and control procedures for our group of companies
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across the company, while adhering to national and local legal standards
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assisting with bookkeeping and data entry
  • Supervising preparation of account reconciliations
  • Supervise Accounts receivables including billing and collections
  • Supervise Accounts payables entry and cheque printing
  • Supervise Payroll function
  • Yearend files preparation
  • Other related duties.

We are in the food ingredients business and therefore a background in manufacturing would be an asset

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education
  • 3 or more years of seniorlevel accounting and finance staff supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel including lookup and pivot table functions
