The Office of the Integrity Commissioner is seeking an analytical and highly organized Inquiries Officer - Lobbyist Registration. You are tactful and non-partisan, demonstrating an attention to detail and an ability to work with confidential material.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include:

- receiving and reviewing inquiries about Ontario's lobbyist registry
- carefully reviewing registrations submitted to the registry, assessing each for matters of non-compliance
- analysing issues against legislation
- engaging in discussions with lobbyists and members of the public about the registry
- preparing correspondence
- proactively supporting all aspects of the registry

How You Will Qualify:

You demonstrate excellence because you have:

  • university degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
- strong verbal communication and superior writing skills
- a good understanding of the _Lobbyists Registration Act, 1998_
- comfort working with high volumes of work under tight deadlines
- an abiding interest in provincial current affairs
- the ability to work independently, and with a team
- above-average skills in Word and Excel
- superior problem-solving skills, excellent judgment and a 'can do' attitude
- an unflappable and inquisitive nature, a desire to take initiative
