ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using common mail services including
  • Receive, sort and process mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notify recipients.
  • Record & process accountable mail information, maintain logs.
  • Shipping and receiving using automated system to track and manage activity.
  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Operate mail equipment including mail inserters, sorters and finishing equipment.
  • Perform quality checks on outbound mail.
  • Perform chargeback reporting for postage, overnight couriers, local delivery, and faxes.
  • Perform mail labeling/mail merge.
  • Perform electronic mail distribution (open, mail prep, scan and distribute) when required
  • Perform fulfillment functions, such as assembly, packaging, and kitted materials.
  • Follow mailroom security procedures.
  • Deliver and pickup mail on scheduled runs.
  • Track, trace, and resolve mail problems or customer concerns.
  • Monitor/order/replenish supplies inventory.
  • Able to be on your feet 80% of the time.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to learn.

SKILLS:

  • Good communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Selfmotivated.
  • Able to read, write and follow English instructions.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with mínimal supervision

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 months to 1 year experience in a professional working environment.
  • 1+ consecutive years' experience working in a mailroom
  • Experience in a clientfacing environment.

EDUCATION:

LEVEL 1 and 2:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.

Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months
