Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada The National Council of Young Men's Christian Associations of the United States of America Full time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pacific Alliance of YMCAs serves its 31 member YMCAs by influencing public policy and connection to evidence-based solutions to demonstrate their collective impact to solve critical social issues in the areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

The Washington State Alliance of YMCAs is comprised of 16 member YMCA Associations with a total of 51 branches. The purpose of the WA Alliance is to leverage the collective strength of Washington Ys to ensure relevant impact in our communities and throughout the state.

The Executive Director manages the WA State Alliance's day-to-day administrative operations. This includes establishing and directing strategic initiatives, coordinating peer-level professional development, advocating for Ys and public policies that benefit them, and overseeing the finances of the state alliance.

Collectively, these efforts will result in strengthening and advancing the position of the WA Alliance as a statewide/regional/national leader in the areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The Alliance will be a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the State, working to ensure increased accessibility for all to YMCA programs and services.

This position will support the Pacific Alliance by providing direct services to member Y organizations throughout the region. Working with Y CEOs and their staff, this position will help Ys by strengthening and expanding peer networks, creating, and coordinating professional development opportunities, coordinating alliance events, liaising with the Service Delivery Hub, and leading state-specific projects as needed.

The position reports to the Pacific Alliance of YMCAs' CEO and works closely with the Alliance Board (Association CEOs), the Alliance Chair, the Public Policy Chair, contract lobbyists, and Y-USA staff to achieve WA State Alliance objectives. The Executive Director also supports the attainment of regional alliance goals.
