Department Overview

The
TD Securities Inc.

(TDSI) Compliance Department

is responsible for the compliance strategy and oversight programs, including designing and implementing monitoring and supervisory programs for the firm.
This is accomplished by:

  • Conducting monitoring, testing and surveillance
  • Providing training and education
  • Liaising with regulators
  • Promoting a strong compliance culture within the firm
  • Taking preventative measures to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations
  • Implementing Policies and Procedures designed to achieve compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Licensing and registration requirements
  • Management of all regulatory examinations and internal audits


You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.


Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network.

This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

  • Leadership talks with key Leaders from across the organization
  • Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation
  • Diversity and Inclusion and Personal Branding and so much more
  • Lean and carry out compliance reviews daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly.
  • Complete Ad
- hoc compliance reporting

  • Participate in compliance meetings and working groups
  • Assist with various tasks across Advisory compliance team
  • Periodic investigation into potential market abuse trades

Requirements
:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field; with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong communications skills with positive personality and willingness to accept challenges
  • A strong analytical mind with attention to detail and desire to learn and grow
Additional Information

  • This position is a 4month work term and will commence
    Sept 5th
  • Dec 22nd, 2023.
