Our 60+ Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified Medical Office Administrators, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Opticians, Optical Assistants, Chiropodists and Clinical Research Professionals.
Access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various LMC sites is required.
Responsibilities
- Initiates practical assessments of potential new hires for both the Medical Assistant (MA) and Medical Office Administrator (MOA) roles.
- Provides training and onboarding of new MA and MOA employees including, but not limited to developing training schedules, EMR training, devices training, training materials and SOPs review.
- Provides on going training, support, and feedback to existing MA and MOA staff, with special focus on policies and procedures.
- Conducts monthly MA data entry audits and quarterly MA role audits. Reports back all feedback including discrepancies to the manager.

- Reviews physicians' assessment preferences and updates staff, as required.
- Maintains MA resource and training manual and reference syllabus.
- Maintains Administrative policies and procedures manual on an ongoing basis.
- Develops and facilities MA and MOA training workshops quarterly.
- Conducts huddles with MA at the site level to review ongoing processes, new procedures and helping the team in their questions about hosting.
- Provides MOA or MA coverage support, as needed.
- Travel to various LMC sites, as required.

- Previous training or staff development experience is considered an asset.
- Previous Personal Support Worker or Medical Laboratory experience is considered an asset.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) or nurse is considered an asset.
- Postsecondary education from a Certified Medical Office Administration Program or 35 years of similar experience working in medical office environment is considered an asset.
- Proficient knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in measuring vitals signs and experience with medications review is considered an asset.
