Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for producing/manufacturing protective packaging products using materials, such as polyethylene, polyurethane, honeycomb, etc. in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Ensure finished goods are packaged and tagged accurately to be ready for shipping
  • Utilize tools such as a heat gun to bond product parts
  • Operate machines such as large die cutting press, small bandsaw and forklift to move materials
  • Ensure processes and systems are being followed properly and that paperwork is filled out accordingly, accurately and forwarded on time
  • Complete orders on time and maintain our 99% ontime delivery goal
  • Continually look for ways to improve process efficiencies in the manufacturing of foam products.
  • Responsible for the quality of products manufactured.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems.
  • Ensure that the Production area is kept clean and is always organized
  • Count inventory as required
  • Make samples as required.
  • Other departmentrelated projects as requested by appropriate company personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current forklift certificate Class 1, 4, 5 required
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Minimum 2 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Desire to learn and succeed
  • Good organization skills and reliable work habits
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions
  • Previous machine operating experience is necessary
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as this position requires lifting, bending and moderate physical exertion
