Position Summary
Position: Journeyperson Commercial Electrician
Position: Registered Apprentices
Position Type: Full Time
Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Role Summary
The role of the electrician will be responsible for constructing and repairing electrical systems.

Primary Responsibility
-Follow Procedures as defined in the current CEC code.
-Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using both hand & power tools.
-Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
-Inspect electrical systems, equipment to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with CEC codes
-Electrical construction applications

Education & Experience
-Proof of apprenticeship level or journeyman certification is required
-Good communication skills
-Commercial experience
-Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pre-Employment Requirements
-Valid Class 5 Drivers License
-Clean drivers abstract (within 30 days)
-CSTS-09 or CSO / BSO certification
-OSSA approved AWP & Fall Protection
-WHIMIS
-First Aid
-Comprehensive drug, alcohol, and physical demand assessment
-Valid Journeyman certification
-Registered with accredited Apprenticeship Board
