Job Summary: Khau Gully is looking to hire a Food Service Supervisor for the Toronto location who will oversee restaurant operations and the responsibility of managing food preparation through directing and working closely with staff. The right candidate will organize and supervise staff duties efficiently to ensure stellar customer service and promote company success.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the restaurant's day-to-day operations for smooth food service and timely execution of customer orders.
• Coordinate staff schedules and assign work duties to restaurant staff.
• Oversee the restaurant, kitchen and food collection areas compliance with health and safety policies.
• Assist manager with hiring and training new staff.
• Confirm all dietary restrictions are being followed in the food preparation process.
• Manage the scheduling and ordering of ingredients and beverages for the restaurant.
• Inspect and ensure sanitation protocols are followed within the restaurant and that all maintenance issues are reported promptly.
• Address any customer queries in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct restaurant opening and closing procedures and note inventory and sales reports.
• Support the hiring, promoting and general assessments of food service staff.
• Other duties as required.
Minimum Skills Requirements:
• Must have completed a post-secondary program in culinary management, food service administration, hospitality management or in a related field OR must have at least two (2) years of previous work experience in food preparation or food service.
• Past supervisory experience is an asset but not required;
• Must possess leadership, flexibility and good organizational ability.
