Your RoleAs General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the continuous and profitable movement of grain into and out of the facility, while also delivering comprehensive management, guidance, and task delegation to all team members. The General Manager will be responsible for the facility's grain operations, its success, the customer experience, and compliance with applicable health and food safety regulations. Day to Day
  • Oversee daily grain operations with effective management and leadership.
  • Continuously ensure and promote a safe and healthy work environment that meets OH&S objectives.
  • Monitor and manage financial and inventory reports and results.
  • Develop initiatives to maximize investments and increase efficiency.
  • Create a positive work environment with a strong focus on team and talent management.
  • Build strong producer and community relationships.
  • Monitor and understand market developments and competition.
  • Create and deliver an annual budget and business plan.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the operation of a grainfacility.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the grain business, markets, pricing, and world trends.
  • Experience in a management position with proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor staff.
  • Experience in customer relations with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement business strategies.
  • Valid driver's license.
