About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Scheduler/Timekeeper to join our dynamic Donor Relations & Collections West team.

The Donor Relations & Collections West team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and creating work schedules and completing associated scheduling and timekeeping functions that meet operational needs. These functions will be performed in accordance with Canadian Blood Services policies.

Formula for success
  • Assess and plan staffing requirements in consultation with Manager/Supervisors to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare/create/revise work schedules according to Collective Agreement requirements.
  • Perform Timekeeping/ Payroll functions for departments.
  • Provides administrative support for the Supply Chain and other departments.
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Other related duties, as required.
Desired education and skills
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably one year in Payroll/Office.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in related position preferably in a regulated environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Excel, Share Point and Office 365. SAP knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively in an integrated multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated skills in creative and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to establish priorities and organize workload.

  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday (7:00 to 15:00) no weekends or stat holidays.
