The Junior Content Author is the individual who brings everything together & ensures that our client's site content is published on-site, on-time, and in accordance with client brand guidelines & BIMM quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain content in multiple Content Management Systems ( CMS) for our clients websites.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
  • Crop / Compress / Transfer visual assets to Digital Asset Management Systems for use on client websites
  • Practice Quality Assurance for the work of yourself and your peers
  • Deploy / activate website content on a consistent schedule
  • Liaise with content writers & product specialists to ensure accuracy & brand consistency
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that CMS components are able to support our content and accessibility requirements
  • Manage a promotional and content calendar and ensure content timing is accurate and planned appropriately
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright, accessibility, data protection, and legal disclaimers)
  • Stay uptodate with industry best practices and generate new ideas to draw user's attention
  • Supporting on technical integrations with the development teams and troubleshooting technical issues

Requirements:

Must have:

  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to problemsolve in both solo and collaborative situations
  • A calm and patient demeanor under pressure
  • BSc degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Advertising, Business Administration or relevant field

Nice to have:

  • Previous work experience as a Content manager/author
  • Handson experience with MS Office, Photoshop, and content management platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Issue tracking tools (ie: Jira) a plus
  • Working knowledge of Corporate wiki tools (ie: Confluence) a plus
  • Working knowledge of WCAG AA Accessibility standards a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML and website development
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
