About Us

The Shoreline Power Group, a collaboration between Aecon, United, and AtkinsRéalis based in Kincardine, Ontario, is at the forefront of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. This program involves replacing key components of 6 reactors to ensure safe operation until 2064.

We are currently seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our team and support tooling designs and maintenance activities for the MCR project. Reporting to the Equipment Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of welding equipment.

What You'll Do Here

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on the MCR project Weld Tooling.
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot welding tools.
  • Develop tooling repair procedures based on manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and trades workers to ensure optimal tooling performance.
  • Coordinate activities to prepare site conditions for refurbishment.
  • Maintain spare tooling inventory for efficient operations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and technical specifications.
  • Interpret drawings, codes, and standards to support operations.
  • Optimize tooling design and maintenance for enhanced performance.
  • Assist with emergent tooling development and other assigned tasks.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Graduate in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical schematics and diagnostic tools.
  • Previous maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of welding systems like Liburdi is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS applications and ability to work well in a team.

Physical Demands

  • Work in field site environments.
  • Ability to work in radiological environments and travel between sites.
  • Readiness to work with respirators and plastics as needed.
  • Extensive reading may be required.
