As part of our Engineering team, you will be reporting to the CNC Team Leader in the CNC technician role, where you will be responsible for various aspects of CNC machining within our facility. It's crucial to carry out your work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Stackpole International's Health & Safety policies, procedures, and quality systems. Proficiency in SPS, 5S, and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities will be essential.



Your Responsibilities:

  • Show 5S, cleanliness, and organizational skills in your work area, machines, automation, and tools.
  • Properly identify setup and scrap parts for measuring and disposal.
  • Read process sheets and understand their relevance to the part and CMM printout.
  • Use all necessary gauges to assess product quality.
  • Understand and practice all safety protocols related to machines and automation.
  • Check and replenish machine fluids, lubricate, and grease chucks and fixtures.
  • Safely load and unload production parts in machines and fixtures.
  • Power machines up and down, confirm programs, and prepare for production.
  • Operate machine controls effectively and safely.
  • Correctly move machine axes and make tool changes as needed.
  • Set up collets, chucks, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot workholding devices and CNC equipment.
  • Edit CNC programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management and Health & Safety Systems.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Our Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CNC Machining Program Certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of machining principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with CNC controls and programming.
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team, with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Capability to work in a noisy environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Flexible to work different shifts and overtime.
