What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will;

  • Provide assistance in coordinating server and network changes to the production environments in the Data Centre focusing on incident, problem, change, configuration, business continuity and vendor management.
  • Coordinate Disaster Recovery, Back Up, and Media Management.
  • Provide assistance in managing the Data Centre facilities, and managing the related ITS SLA's and MOU's.
  • Provide assistance in supporting VM environment, including: Incident/problem review, investigation and analysis.
  • Coordinate Project Implementations for large mission critical systems.

How do I qualify?:

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

You have:

  • Knowledge and experience with leading change and incident management.
  • Experience with large data centre operations, networks, firewalls, and server management oriented projects.
  • Strong knowledge and understand of risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of latest IT technologies specifically Linux, Windows, Oracle, MS platforms.
  • Experience with Networks, Firewalls, Datacentre Operations.
  • Experience dealing with enterprise level infrastructure migration projects
  • Knowledge of systems and network analysis, design, development, testing and implementation methods, technology, operations management, networking, and security.

Project and Contract Management Skills:

You have:

  • Knowledge of change/Incident management and business process change
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies in order to lead or assist on concurrent projects.
  • Experience in assisting the IT technology projects under direct supervision of Manager and/or Project Manager
  • Knowledge of administrative and resource management policies, including OPS procurement policies/procedures in order to manage administrative processes required to coordinate, implement and manage activities and projects.
  • Understanding of OPS/Cluster I&IT strategies, directives, best practices and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Experience leading I&IT procurement processes such as Request For Bid (RFB), Requests For Services (RFS) and vendor of record (VoR) processes; experience in assisting with I&IT product and service evaluations and ensuring compliance and compatibility with existing standards

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

You can:

  • Evaluate both technical and business requirements of projects.
  • Identify and address sensitive/contentious issues.
  • Assess and make recommendations and/or decisions.
  • Plan and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
  • Develop appropriate metrics for project feedback, tracking and performance evaluation.

Communication and Presentation Skills:

  • You have oral and written communications to manage stakeholder relations, provide written and oral instructions and advice to clients
  • You can prepare technical and nontechnical reports and decision support documents, make presentations, and provide recommendations to senior management and clients
  • You have excellent coordination and communications skills.
