JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the incumbent will assist in all activities related to the Professional Services sector, in accordance with the Provincial Health Plan and Vitalité Health Network's Strategic Plan. The incumbent will participate in planning and organizing the care and services delivered. The assistant director will participate in managing human, financial, and material resources, training staff, managing quality and risk, and supporting training and research. As part of their duties, the incumbent will be required to travel within the Network's territory to support its managers and will work closely with the various program directors. The incumbent may be assigned various duties based on operational and organizational needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from a recognized university in the health field, preferably a discipline under the position's supervision;
  • Member of a professional association in the health field, preferably a discipline under the position's supervision;
  • Master's in administration considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a health care management position;
  • Eight to ten years' experience in the health care field.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and high level of independence;
  • Strategic-thinking skills and innovative and collaborative management style;
  • Participatory management approach and positive attitude;
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent proven skills in budget planning and analysis, strategic planning, problem analysis and solving, and information management;
  • Good judgment, initiative and creativity and ability to adhere to, engage in, and manage change;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Meditech software applications;
  • Sincere desire to improve own professional knowledge and skills and ability to stimulate professional interest within the team;
  • Interpersonal skills that promote a climate conducive to welcoming and showing concern for clients and to communicating effectively;
  • Knowledge of the code of ethics of the professions for which the position is responsible;
  • Flexibility in working hours;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
