Temporary SEASONAL Labourer III - Parks & Recreation Department
The City of Martensville has three (3) openings for temporary full-time SEASONAL Labourer IIIs.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Earned Days Off (EDOs) scheduled every third Friday.
  • The 2024 employment period will be April 15 through October 24, 2024.
The role performs a wide variety of duties and is responsible for the following:

JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintenance of parks, playing fields, playgrounds, and boulevards.
  • Assist with sports & leisure facilities' maintenance and operations.
  • Operate equipment for Parks & Recreation.
  • Minor maintenance of small equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must:
  • Be available for fulltime work from April 15 to October 24, 202
  • Be safety conscious and demonstrate a high level of attentiveness to their own personal safety as well as that of their coworkers and the public.
  • Be able to perform physically strenuous work and to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
  • Have their Grade 12 diploma and a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Experience in equipment operation, parks maintenance, general labour, or construction is preferred.
  • Municipal work experience is considered an asset.

RATE OF PAY:

  • As per CUPE local Agreement:

Probationary Rate:
$19.00/hour

Non-

Probationary Rate:
$21.11/hour.
