  • Team or Function Overview
  • This is an outside sales role in the Toronto market which will support key accounts working closely with other representatives in the area.
  • Summary
  • The Siplast Field Sales Representative (FSR) is an outside sales role responsible for assisting the District Sales Manager in the promotion and sales of Siplast products, and all aspects of general administration within the District. A sales area may be defined, with the Field Sales Representative being accountable for sales and budget results within that area, while working closely with management to ensure adherence to company standards and guidelines. This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager and requires the establishment of, and operation from, an inhome office.
  • Essential Duties
  • Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Product sales, accomplished primarily through specification selling to major owners, architects, roofing consultants, and roofing contractors. Includes identification of prospective jobs and decision-making individuals, timely contact, and effective follow-up. Also includes proper use of sales and promotional tools provided by the company and the development of additional tools, such as local job photos, testimonials, references, etc.
  • Technical services, including development and/or review of roofing specifications for prospective jobs, participation in prejob meetings (when required), conducting periodic job/rooftop inspections (in progress, final, twoyear, as required), and basic troubleshooting. Work closely with local field technical representative(s) in prioritizing and managing technical needs of his/her sales area.
  • Budget management, including participating in the development and preparation of the sales budget and forecast, and management of sales and related business expenses.
  • General administration, including timely completion of all administrative reports required.
  • Pricing administration, including maximizing price on each job, proper and timely documentation for pricing, and responsible determination for required pricing deviations, based upon job size, competitive threat, specification rigidity, etc.
  • Participate in credit administration to maintain all accounts in a "current" or "acceptable" status.
  • Utilization of Salesforce to manage accounts and the opportunity pipeline.
  • Physical Demands
  • Ability to drive a vehicle and travel, such as air travel
  • Ability to frequently work in a stationary position for long periods of time; ability to frequently move about to accomplish tasks and to move from one work area to another
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions including high/low temperatures, dust, humidity, etc.
  • Ability to wear/work in PPE Close and far visual acuity to view documents, computer screens, perform inspections, drive a vehicle, etc.
  • Ability to frequently and quickly converse with and convey information to others on the phone and inperson
  • Ability to work with heights; ascend/descend ladders and stairs
  • Ability to position self to move safely over even and uneven surfaces Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally (booth, sample boxes, products, etc.)

  • Must have (and maintain) a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
  • Ability to travel as necessary (may be extensive based on geographic territory)
  • Ability to have and maintain a Company credit card for businessrelated expenses
