What's the Role

A Territory Manager (TM) role is a key position within Shell Mobility, offering excitement and fulfillment. As part of the Mobility Sales and Operations team, you will oversee a group of Retailers in a designated geographic area, typically comprising 15-25 service stations. We seek a customer-centric, enthusiastic, and performance-oriented individual who will uphold Shell's values consistently.

As a Territory Manager, you will be in charge of fostering strong relationships between Shell Canada and Retail Business Partners at the site/cluster level. Your responsibilities will include driving Sales, Profitability, and Operational Excellence Key Performance Indicators by providing guidance and support to Retail Business Partners. Your role will involve ensuring the successful implementation of fuel, convenience retail, and car wash strategies in an ethical and safe manner on a daily basis. Ultimately, you will be accountable for the financial performance of the territory, overseeing aspects such as Convenience Retail (CR) stock, car wash operations, and fuel margin, volume, and pricing at your assigned sites.

This position plays a vital role in nurturing talent within the Mobility Organization, offering opportunities to enhance stakeholder management and business development skills.

Accountabilities:

  • Embrace and champion the organization's pursuit of the Goal Zero Ambition (No Harm, No Leaks, and no food safety incidents in all operations).
  • Assess and enhance site-level performance, address identified gaps, and implement strategies to drive results.
  • Devote significant time to engage with Retailers in the field, providing guidance and support on process execution and program implementation.
  • Ensure that Retailers utilize available tools and processes effectively to promote business growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Guarantee the consistent application of the Shell Customer Value Proposition (Marketing, HSSE, Loyalty, and Convenience Retail) at each site, maintaining the delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment.
  • Lead efforts in Retailer Recruitment and Selection to build a strong pipeline of Retailers.
  • Cultivate a safety-focused environment at site operations by guiding Retailers on adhering to proper HSSE protocols in their daily activities.
  • Enhance profitability through year-on-year sales growth across all categories, particularly higher margin Convenience Retail segments, optimizing Convenience Retail Inventory Ownership, controlling costs, and ensuring excellent execution of product, price, placement, promotion strategies, and customer service at all locations.
