Job Summary:

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient operations and timely fulfillment of orders. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Coordinator works closely with other team members to streamline processes and meet customer demands.


Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Ensure proper storage and organization of products within the warehouse.


2. Order Fulfillment:

    • Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
    • Collaborate with logistics partners to schedule and optimize shipments.
    • Track and report order status, ensuring timely delivery.


3. Quality Control:

    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Inspect products for damages and ensure they meet quality standards.


4. Safety Compliance:

    • Promote and enforce safety protocols within the warehouse.
    • Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.
    • Address and resolve safety concerns promptly.


5. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyor systems.
    • Schedule routine inspections and repairs as needed.


6. Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate workflow.
    • Provide regular updates on inventory levels, order status, and warehouse performance.


7. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse activities.
    • Generate reports to analyze and improve warehouse efficiency.


8. Problem Solving:

    • Address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, order delays, and other operational challenges.
    • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.


9. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the management team to implement new procedures.


10. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Provide training and support to team members as needed.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
