Salary:

VEE Inc. is looking for experienced Tool and Die Technician for our client located in Ancaster ON.


As a member of the Tool Room team, the Tool & Die Technician reports to the Tool Room Lead Hand. The Tool & Die Technician is responsible for supporting production of quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer. The incumbent's primary responsibility is to perform the necessary tasks and duties to safely and efficiently prepare tooling and tool rigs for production use, utilizing appropriate skills and techniques in tool & die making.


Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform operational problem solving and identify / implement continuous improvements to the process
  • Provide Technical support to employees, processes, products and equipment employed within the division on a day-to -day basis
  • Ensure effective communication with Supervisors and Technical Team Members. Ensure that a “hand-off” occurs with off shifts to ensure that communication between shifts is effective
  • Participate in continuous improvement team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources and health and safety issues, when required
  • Participate in training and development of new members of the Manufacturing Technician team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Adheres to Stackpole's policies and procedures
  • Adheres and supports Stackpole's Safety and Environmental policies and practices
  • Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 are conformed to
  • Other duties as assigned


Our requirements :


Qualifications:

  • Must have an Ontario Trade Certificate as a Tool & Die Maker and have at least three years relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience with powder metal tooling preferred.

  • Must be a reliable, mature individual with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work with others in a team based environment;
  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.


WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands):

  • Manufacturing environment with limited climate control
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
