We are currently seeking an experienced Fibre /Distribution cabling technician to become an integral part of our operations team. As a technician, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team, delivering top-notch service and quality craftsmanship.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair fiber equipment, products, and services
- Interpret blueprints and construction plans accurately
- Terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables, including connectors
- Utilize various Cleavers and testing equipment such as OTDR and LFI for troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Project Managers for installations and repairs
- Adapt to changing priorities and execute projects efficiently
- Ensure work meets high standards and comply with safety protocols
- Perform splicing on aerial and buried fiber
- Document completed work and maintain clear labeling
- Utilize our field mobile app for work management
- Complete detailed work orders for accurate billing
- Ability to work in a vault/pit outside of customers new homes (FASC to FCSE)
- Ability to work in any weather condition
- **Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in Fibre optics cabling installation, maintenance, and repair
- Proficiency with testing tools for 2+ years
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and lift devices
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Ability to carry, lift, and handle heavy equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Valid provincial 'G' driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Color distinction ability and flexibility in work schedule
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
