About the role

Intact Investment Management Inc. is a subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation (IFC). We are a global investment firm specializing in the active management of equity and fixed income portfolios for the benefit of our company Intact and institutional investors.

Our technology team is looking for a Business Analyst with a good analytical mind, who is fueled by helping people learn and helping others.

Investment Technology Team Philosophy

You will be part of a team whose mission is to support the various investment teams in achieving their objectives by providing quality technological tools and solutions. In return, the Intact Investment Management teams will be able to mentor you in order to introduce you to this fascinating field. We value everyone's ideas, so come and share yours with us

What you will do: 

Your analytical approach and your autonomy will be put to good use through constantly evolving responsibilities, including:

  • Be at the heart of investment activities by proposing and implementing improvements that will help teams succeed.

  • Analyze user needs and ensure that you understand their requests.

  • Develop solutions in line with the needs identified during the analysis.

  • Document and execute the necessary tests to ensure the quality of the solution.

  • Solve problems encountered by users for the various applications and processes developed by the Investment Technology team.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on our main applications (Eagle, CRIMS) in order to help the different teams in the investment department.

  • Manage and maintain computer routines.

What you need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Finance or related field.

  • Relevant investment experience (a significant asset).

  • Knowledge of SQL (an asset).

  • Demonstrate initiative and integrity.

  • Team player with good judgment and critical thinking.

  • Good problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Bilingualism (French and English - required) - Need to interact regularly with colleagues across the country. 

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
