Job Description

As a Project Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting project management activities, ensuring smooth coordination, and facilitating the successful execution of construction projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining the project schedule using MS project
  • Providing the necessary information and updates
  • Assisting the Senior PM and supporting Project Managers
  • Coordinating procurement of materials and equipment required for project execution
  • Support resource allocation, tracking, and management to optimize project efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits
  • Preparing regular progress reports, summarizing project status, milestones achieved, and potential risks
  • Managing change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project-related documents
  • Reviewing invoices/timesheets for project manager's approval
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the senior project managers
Qualifications

What You'll Need:

  • Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architectural degree an asset
  • Previous experience working in a commercial or industrial setting as a project coordinator
  • Capability to read and draw sketches and preliminary drawings in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in MS Project
  • Valid drivers license and capability to travel to sites for visits and inspections
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset
  • Familiarity with CAD software and construction industry-specific tools
  • Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and relevant regulation
