About the Job


As an Accountant (seniority of title based on experience) in a fast-paced tech company, you will take ownership of month-end tasks, payroll, tax compliance, and optimizing new accounting systems, ensuring smooth financial operations amidst rapid growth.

Please note the preferred location for this role is Vancouver or Victoria (office based in Victoria), BC but we are open to hiring remotely within BC, Canada.



Some tasks you'll be taking on

  • Support month and year-end closure activities under the guidance of the financial controller, collaborating closely with another senior accountant.
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Act as a liaison with external tax advisors, providing necessary information for the timely lodgment of tax returns, SR&ED claims, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Support with payroll and assist with other compliance tasks, including the filing of GST, WCB, and EHT.
  • Contribute to the migration process from Xero to Netsuite, by implementing new processes and applying your learnings to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide insightful analysis of revenue and costs, aiding in the understanding of key business drivers and budget variances.
  • Opportunity to develop new processes and drafting policies to streamline operations globally as a result of the recent merger with Rezdy and Regiondo.
  • Ownership of the billing process to ensure all customers invoices are billed on an accurate and timely basis.

Ideally, you should have


  • Between 2-4 years of experience in accounting
  • Independent and self-motivated learner, capable of working effectively in a remote setting
  • Accountable and reliable, taking ownership of responsibilities and deadlines
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changes resulting from the recent merger
  • Proficient in Excel and preferably experienced in G Suite applications for enhanced productivity
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures
  • Advantageous if experienced in payroll processing, demonstrating proficiency in related tasks and regulations
  • Holds a degree in business, accounting, or finance, providing a strong foundation for the role
