Maxan delivers high quality interior solutions with superior craftsmanship including wall, ceiling, and acoustic systems, to the industrial, commercial, and institutional sector. Our company is focused on growth and investing in individuals who are detail-oriented and results driven. Maxan is currently seeking a full time and competent drywall and acoustics foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers in a fast-paced construction environment. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, this is a key role for meeting a project's budget, schedule and quality standards.

Roles and responsibilities


Responsibilities generally include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure all site safety requirements are fulfilled
  • Ensure construction is carried out as per plans and specs
  • Review completed work and ensure Maxan quality is maintained throughout the project
  • Complete daily and weekly reporting
  • Ensure Maxan's work area is clean and tidy
  • Ordering adequate materials required to complete the project
  • Organizing the workforce to complete the project in a cost-effective manner
  • Effectively communicating project progress and any concerns with all stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively oversee multiple project sites
  • Keep track of changes and extras as well as submit work orders
  • Create good working relationships with customers
  • Submit master time sheet daily


Qualifications/requirements

  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a drywall and acoustics journeyman
  • Previous experience managing projects
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHSA requirements
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle
  • Valid WHMIS, Working at Heights, Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness, First Aid certifications, Basics of Supervising, Elevated Work Platforms, Powder Actuated Tools, etc.

  • In-depth knowledge of new systems/materials and building codes/regulations an asset
  • Basic computer skills (ex. Microsoft Outlook)
