Maxan is currently seeking a full time and competent drywall and acoustics foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers in a fast-paced construction environment. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, this is a key role for meeting a project’s budget, schedule and quality standards.

**Roles and responsibilities**

Responsibilities generally include but are not limited to the following:

- Ensure all site safety requirements are fulfilled
- Ensure construction is carried out as per plans and specs
- Review completed work and ensure Maxan quality is maintained throughout the project
- Complete daily and weekly reporting
- Ensure Maxan's work area is clean and tidy
- Ordering adequate materials required to complete the project
- Organizing the workforce to complete the project in a cost-effective manner
- Effectively communicating project progress and any concerns with all stakeholders
- Ability to effectively oversee multiple project sites
- Keep track of changes and extras as well as submit work orders
- Create good working relationships with customers
- Submit master time sheet daily

**Qualifications/requirements**
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a drywall and acoustics journeyman
- Previous experience managing projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHSA requirements
- Valid drivers license and vehicle
- Valid WHMIS, Working at Heights, Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness, First Aid certifications, Basics of Supervising, Elevated Work Platforms, Powder Actuated Tools, etc.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Good project administration and management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- In-depth knowledge of new systems/materials and building codes/regulations an asset
- Basic computer skills (ex. Microsoft Outlook)
