We are looking to fill the full-time year-round position of Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor at Fernie Alpine Resort. Our guest walks into their clean room, takes a deep breath, and immediately relax. You are the heart of the hotel, giving the gift of a place our guests dream to be. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be physically capable, and have excellent organizational and time management skills. You Will:

  • To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Overseeing and working with the Housekeeping team, servicing both properties
  • Provide training, leadership and mentoring to the Housekeeping team, ensuring the group is aware of and engaged with our mission, purpose and values
  • Supplies ordering and inventory control
  • Assigning responsibilities to team members
  • Lead daily crew talks and action follow ups as necessary
  • Supervision, quality control, feedback and accountability for team members
  • Checking and reporting current status of rooms
  • Ongoing suite care
  • Preparing staffing schedules according to hotel occupancy
  • Support and lead the team in all aspects of the resort wide Safety Management Program
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs

You Have:

  • Previous success in a Supervisory role an asset
  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Ability to Bend, Lift, Push, and Pull up to 40 lbs.
