En tant que comptable fiscal, vous serez chargé de contribuer à la conformité fiscale de Wesco au Canada, aux audits, aux provisions fiscales et à la planification fiscale.

Lieu de travail : Ouvert aux candidats de la région du Grand Toronto.

Responsabilités:

  • Recueillir les données et effectuer les calculs nécessaires à la préparation des formulaires d'impôt fédéral ou d'État du Canada liés à l'équipe qui vous est assignée, y compris la tenue d'un calendrier fiscal complet des obligations de dépôt afin de s'assurer que les obligations de dépôt sont respectées en temps opportun et avec précision. Aider également à traiter les avis et les audits des autorités fiscales.

  • Développer la connaissance du logiciel de conformité fiscale OneSource et assurer la coordination avec les prestataires de services externes pour remplir les formulaires fiscaux assignés.

  • Aider à la planification fiscale en ce qui concerne les réorganisations internes, le financement interentreprises, la modélisation des distributions/rapatriements, etc.

  • Rechercher et documenter les positions prises dans les déclarations fiscales, y compris la préparation de mémorandums écrits.

  • Maintenir, mettre à jour et améliorer les plans de travail et les processus fiscaux en matière de conformité et d'information financière.

  • Maîtriser et utiliser les solutions technologiques/logicielles actuelles, telles qu'Alteryx, Orbitax et autres, afin d'améliorer l'efficacité de la préparation et de l'analyse des données.

  • Suivre l'évolution du droit fiscal propre à l'équipe qui vous est confiée et contribuer à la mise en œuvre des changements nécessaires pour se conformer et/ou s'adapter aux nouvelles lois/exigences.

  • Assurer la conformité et maintenir les contrôles internes conformément à la section 404 de la loi Sarbanes Oxley pour les processus de conformité et de planification fiscales, en veillant à ce qu'il n'y ait pas de déficiences significatives ou de faiblesses importantes.

Qualifications:

  • Licence en comptabilité, finance ou dans un domaine connexe.

  • Certification CPA de préférence

  • Expérience dans le domaine de la fiscalité (1 an requis, y compris les stages, 3 ans de préférence)

  • Connaissance de la théorie, des principes et des pratiques comptables et de leur application

  • Connaissance des lois, codes et règlements fiscaux pertinents.

  • Solides compétences analytiques

  • Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale

  • Solides compétences en bureautique et en informatique, y compris Microsoft Word et Excel

  • Capacité à rechercher et à analyser une variété d'informations

  • Capacité à établir et à maintenir des relations de travail coopératives

  • Assemblage de données et préparation de rapports

As the Tax Accountant you will be responsible for assisting with Wesco’s Canada tax compliance, audits, tax provision, and tax planning.

Location: Open to candidates in the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather data and complete calculations required to prepare Canada Federal or State tax forms related to your assigned team including maintenance of comprehensive tax calendar of filing obligations to ensure filing obligations are timely and accurately met. Also assist in handling related notices and audits by tax authorities.

  • Develop knowledge of OneSource tax compliance software and coordinate with outside service providers to complete assigned tax forms.

  • Assist with tax planning with respect to internal reorganizations, intercompany financing, distributions/repatriation modeling, etc.

  • Research and document positions taken in the tax returns, including preparation of written memoranda.

  • Maintain, update and enhance tax workplans and processes for compliance and financial reporting.

  • Become proficient and utilize current technology/software solutions, such as Alteryx, Orbitax and others, to create efficiencies in data preparation and analysis.

  • Monitor developments in tax law specific to your assigned team and assist in implementing changes required to comply and/or adapt to new laws/requirements.

  • Ensure compliance and maintain internal controls under Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 for the tax compliance and planning processes ensuring no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree - Accounting, finance or related required

  • CPA certification preferred

  • Experience within the tax field (1 year required including internships, 3 years preferred)

  • Knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices and their application

  • Knowledge of pertinent tax laws, codes, and regulations

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong office and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to research and analyze a variety of information

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

  • Assembly of data and preparation of reports
