Dimensions
This position reports directly to the Stationary Maintenance Supervisor.
Purpose
Responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on underground and surface stationary equipment. Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and PGM Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards. Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department.
Essential Duties
Responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on underground and surface stationary equipment. Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department. Assisting in other works areas may be required. Must be highly motivated, organized and must be capable of decision-making. Responsible for providing own tools. Assisting in other works areas may be required.
Training & Experience
Must be a certified Industrial Mechanic-Millwright. Good knowledge of compressors, pumps and hoisting plant including conveyance, ropes, loading stations and shaft work, rail equipment and hydraulic system such as rock breakingsystem. Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills. High level of organizational skill. Be technically competent Willing to learn Basic computer skills are preferred
Working Conditions
This position is located at the Hoyle Pond site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine Site near
Timmins, ON.
In this role, you will work a 5x5x4 schedule. As such, if you do not live near the site, we will
require you to relocate
