Reporting to the Vice President, Property Technology Services, this role will be an internal shared service role, working closely with multidisciplinary teams including Safety and Security, Design and Construction, Capital Planning, Residential, and Hotel Operations to oversee complex vendor integrations ensuring outcomes align with corporate goals and business requirements for improving the Security Operations Technology ecosystem and standards.
- Working with Area Directors of Hotel Technology this person is a relationship manager with strong communication skills and the ability to innovate, influence and lead Hotel management and Hotel Owners through complicated IT projects, planning and decisions.
- Ensuring alignment and synergies between Hotel and Residential Operations.
- Challenged to find practical and achievable solutions to complex problems and align them with security industry technologies and operations as applicable.
- Orchestrate Corporate IT activities related to hotels and residences in the areas of safety and security technology.
- Works with the Director, VP and other peers to determine the overall strategic direction and business contribution of the various Security, Access Control, Engineering, Digital and Residential Systems.
This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.
What You'll Be Doing
Security Technology:
- Overview of Physical Security Technology deployments to hotels including CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Protection and Security Operations applications
- Engagement and assistance with other teams including D&C and Operations for systems deployment in hotels to include Guest Room Controls, Security Systems, Door Locking, Engineering Solutions
- Physical and Digital Doorlocking Solutions support both front and back of house hotel and residential use cases
- Creation and Ownership of Field Technology Bulletins through partnership with Design & Construction, and Operations teams - used to inform hotels in the selection and procurement process of guest technology following Corporate IST standards, Global Programs, and Technology Bulletins
- Inform hotels in the selection and procurement process of physical security related technology following Corporate IST standards, Global Programs, and Technology Bulletins
- Evaluate and provide analysis of all new guest technology products and services as they emerge in the market place or are launched by Hotels or other service industries. Maintain relationships and knowledge of guest technology at other Hotel companies
- Support Area Directors of Hotel Technology Services with review of the complexities of systems integrations
- Acts as a liaison between hardware and software suppliers, contractors, consultants and hotels when issues cannot be resolved at the hotel level during pre-opening
- Assist hotels with vendor escalation matters and issues related to vendor SLAs
- Oversight and Coordination of Technology in the Corporate Research and Development Studio, maintaining components of a lab that successfully demonstrates integrations
Financial Management:
- Prepares and manages technology budgets related to Information Systems implementation and maintenance.
- Prepares and assesses Business Cases for New and existing hotels and technology platforms
- Development of Strategy plans for the replacement of security technologies in Guest rooms, Public spaces and back of house, making decisions for cost effective changes to stay in compliance with, budget and schedule
- Maintains Global Programs hotel instructions for areas of safety and security technology including budgeting assistance to hotels
- Oversees negotiations, administration and legal reviews of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service level agreements
- Works with Area Directors of Hotel Technology Services to understand, communicate, analyze and manage financial matters related to IT such as budgeting, forecasting, procurement, negotiation and contracting. Including business cases for projects with a technology component and provide return on investment and cost avoidance analysis

What You Bring
- 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology.
- Experience in a Regional or Corporate oversight role and experience as a Hotel Director of IT or Director of Security would add benefit.
- Member of HFTP, HTNG or other professional Hospitality technology organization.
- Strong understanding of budgets, financial rigour and project delivery.
- PMP is highly desirable
- College or University degree in engineering, technology or design & construction, with emphasis on IT preferred.
This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
