Position Summary

As a member of the Entrepreneurship Team, the Commercial Account Manager (CAM) will work directly with clients to create end-to-end financial solutions, build comprehensive approaches to financial growth, manage cash flow, increase efficiency, and mitigate portfolio risk.


You are a seasoned professional responsible for meeting clients' needs, driving business growth, and leveraging partnerships to deliver a wide range of capital solutions. CAMs manage and grow portfolios by proactively developing new business opportunities and meeting clients' financing needs.


As an integral member of the team, you will deliver flexible business solutions, dedicated business expertise, and timely business advice to help clients realize their entrepreneurial goals. You will foster internal working relationships towards team collaboration to provide financing to Indigenous individuals, organizations and communities.


Responsibilities


• Respond to business inquiries from new and existing clients including referrals from internal and external sources.

• Discover individualized business solutions in a client-as-partner lending model.
• Provide organizational and program information to enquiring clients and determine possible referrals.
• Respond to client concerns by taking appropriate action to reconcile concerns/issues in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor and manage relationships by understanding our client's goals, purpose, and philosophy through an Indigenous lens.
• Professional preparation and presentation of finance applications using analytical aptitudes.
• Champion collaborative working relationships with all teams for mutual benefit.


Qualifications


• Post secondary education in a relevant field including Business, Finance, Accounting. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in commercial or business banking.

• Interpersonal skills demonstrated through diversity of thought and solid communication skills.
• Knowledge of analytic and data application tools and how they are used for financial and risk analysis.
• Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment frameworks and financial analysis concepts.
• Knowledge of bank risks and profiles, especially in relation to credit risk, and business model analysis.
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial software and associated computer skills.
• Experience analyzing and discussing emerging risks, evolving risks, and credit quality performance metrics.
• Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis—assessment of the credit quality of clients.
