Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge applications that are transforming the way we interact with the world. We are seeking an individual who is deeply knowledgeable in backend development, possesses a strong understanding of database management, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crafting Elegant and Efficient Code: You will design, develop, and implement robust backend systems using Java, DotNet, NodeJS, etc, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. You will participate in Code Reviews.
  • Mastering Database Management: You will work closely with our database systems, including SQL and NoSQL, to ensure data integrity, reliability, and efficient retrieval.
  • Architecting Microservices: You will contribute to the design and development of microservices architecture, enabling the creation of modular and scalable applications.
  • Collaborating with the Frontend Team: You will work in close collaboration with our Frontend Developers to ensure seamless integration between the backend and frontend systems.
  • Focusing on quality: You will integrate automated testing strategies, unit tests, integrated tests, load tests and apply good development practices like TDD / BDD.
  • Optimizing for Performance: You will continuously analyze and optimize backend systems to ensure high performance, responsiveness, and a smooth user experience.
  • Building Secure Applications: You will implement security best practices to protect our applications and user data from unauthorized access.
  • Staying Ahead of the Curve: You will stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development, constantly seeking ways to improve our applications and processes.
  • Mentoring and Sharing Knowledge: You will share your knowledge and expertise with other team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Contributing to a Positive Work Environment: You will actively participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Taking Ownership of Your Work: You will take ownership of your projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting high standards of quality.
Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer, demonstrating a strong track record of successful projects.
  • Technical Expertise: You must be proficient in Java or similar programming language, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Database Mastery: You must have extensive experience working with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases, including database design, querying, and optimization.
  • JavaScript Proficiency: You must have a solid understanding of JavaScript and its use in backend development, including server-side rendering and API development.
  • Educational Background: You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant Certifications: You must possess relevant certifications that demonstrate your expertise in backend development, such as Java SE certification, Oracle Certified Professional, or equivalent.
  • Tools and Technologies: You must be familiar with common development tools and technologies, including Git, Gradle, Maven, Spring Framework, and other relevant frameworks and libraries.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: You must be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: You must be a team player with excellent collaboration skills, able to work effectively with other developers, designers, and stakeholders.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
