Overview:

Client is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join the Communications Engineering team in Montreal. The role involves improving a core backend system by developing an observability platform to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Design a compliant observability platform aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop the backend application for data gathering, filtering, and sorting with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Integrate state-of-the-art tools into the observability platform.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline creation for continuous deployment in test environments.
  • Participate in system integration tests, coupling backend solutions with the existing core system.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience with .NET 8 and C# and/or Java.
  • 4 years of experience in microservices architecture, container paradigms (Docker, containerd), and application monitoring (instrumentation and metrics).
  • Proficiency in observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and their integration with ServiceNow and other platforms.
  • 2 years of experience with Kubernetes, including network systems and Helm charts.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
