Risk Analyst

Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Risk Analyst for a 12 month contract in Toronto. This is hybrid role - 3 days in office.
Pay rate: $52.96 - $67.37 / Hour
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am â 4pm

Responsibilities
As a Risk Analyst, your duties will include but not limited:
â¢Assisting with developing and delivering strategies by applying creative expertise, risk and control advisory
â¢Delivering agreed Risk Initiative objectives, including preparation of business case, analysis and reporting
â¢Driving efficiency and enhancement of BUOR&R practices and reporting via consultation with the team, identification and assessment of options and actions for delivery
â¢Providing change management support for design/enhancement to address risk issues and identification of home of best fit
â¢Monitoring Transformational Change programs that may influence and evolve the company Risk profile and present opportunities for enhancement.
â¢Partnering with 2LOD Risk teams to assess risk impacts of change and to support the business with risk response plans
â¢Partnering with Operational control, be a champion of risk change management and adherence to the Operational Readiness protocols
Qualifications
â¢Educated to degree level or equivalent
â¢Strong knowledge and understanding of Operational Risk and Resilience requirements and best practices
â¢Change lifecycle/project experience
â¢Analytical thinking â Ability to break apart complex problems into component problems or issues and make appropriate decisions
â¢Works collaboratively - Works in partnership with others. Strong facilitation skills
â¢Strong, influence, collaboration and negotiation skills
â¢Strong Reporting and Communication skills
â¢Highly self-motivated with strong sense of initiative
â¢Conceptual thinker with a structured and methodical approach to problem identification and resolution
â¢Demonstrated communication strategy development and execution
â¢Experience in implementing appropriate control frameworks for effective risk mitigation.
â¢Experience in defining and implementing effective management reporting
