Responsibilities:
-Set up workstation and equipment
-Execute the preparation of ingredients, including cutting, chopping and measuring recipes according to guidelines provided by the supervisor / manager
-Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and established quality standards
-Effectively manage your designated station(s) during service hours, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of orders.
-Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times.
-Follow proper storage procedures for ingredients, leftovers, and supplies to prevent contamination or spoilage.
-Foster a positive and supportive work environment by communicating effectively with fellow kitchen staff members and maintaining a cooperative attitude.
-Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of knives, kitchen utensils, and hot equipment.
-Identify and report any safety hazards or potential risks to the management.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a prep cook, line cook, event chef, sous chef or chef; demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
-Prior working experience of minimum 2+ years (preferred)
-Ability to stand for extended periods, lift objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
-Flexibility to work 1-7 days a week
-Legally Eligible to Work in Canada
Compensation :
Cooks- $18/hr-$22/hr, depending on your experience and skill level
Sous chef: $22/hr-$25/hr,depending on your experience and skill level
Chef: $25+
Job Types: Full Time / Part-Time / Freelance / Casual
